Discover validated research workflows for analyzing low-frequency cfDNA mutations and generating epigenetic profiles across liquid biopsy and biomarker applications.
In this webinar, you will:
- Discover how mutation and methylation markers can be explored in liquid biopsy workflows, including longitudinal and comparative sample analyses
- Explore targeted NGS workflows for plasma, saliva, and whole blood samples in minimally invasive sampling approaches
- Learn how IDT’s library preparation and capture technologies can be applied across NGS workflows, from ultra-sensitive cfDNA variant detection to targeted epigenetic profiling
In this webinar, Dr. Andreas Weinhäusel will present multiple validated DNA-based liquid biopsy workflows using IDT NGS reagents. These include a targeted hybrid capture deep sequencing approach enabling highly sensitive cell-free DNA (cfDNA) variant detection down to 0.1% minor allele frequency, which was applied in a longitudinal research study analyzing more than 400 plasma samples.
He will also introduce a methylation-sensitive NGS workflow combining hybrid capture with methylation-sensitive restriction enzyme (MSRE) digestion to enable targeted analysis of cfDNA methylation markers. This approach demonstrated robust performance in lung cancer research samples, enabling differentiation of molecular profiles across sample cohorts.
In addition, the webinar will cover IDT-based amplicon sequencing for bisulfite-based methylation analysis, including evaluation of CpG methylation patterns for applications such as biological age research using saliva DNA. IDT barcoding oligonucleotides improved library preparation efficiency compared with previously used barcodes. IDT reagents were also applied in NGS-based workflows for targeted research validation of methylation markers associated with cardiovascular disease using whole blood samples.
Together, these results demonstrate the performance and flexibility of IDT library preparation and capture technologies across mutation and methylation analyses, supporting a broad range of applications, including cfDNA analysis and epigenetic profiling workflows.
