The integration of methylome and transcriptome data as a correlation metric can be performed at various levels. Level 1 (methylome: % methylated cytosines / beta values at promoters or gene bodies; transcriptome: FPKM/RPKM/counts) captures baseline regulatory association, while Level 2 (methylome: Δβ of DMCs/DMRs; transcriptome: log₂ fold change of DEGs) tests coordinated regulation under perturbation, and the two correlations need not agree.

The webinar provides a conceptual framework for undertaking a correlation analysis at OMICS data level 1 or 2.

In this webinar, you will:
• Understand the breakdown of methylome and transcriptome data at various levels.
• Spot the zones/gene ontologies to be correlated as per the OMICS-subtype for methylome and transcriptome.
• Simple Linux/R-based implementation of correlation analysis.
